Five Edsmen from Saint Edward High School, Lakewood, Ohio, and their teacher came to the Shrine to discover the birthplace of the Congregation of Holy Cross and learn more about Blessed Basil Moreau. After a tour of the church and mass at the tomb of Fr. Moreau, they visited the cathedral as well as the old city of Le Mans and ended their day by climbing barefoot the stairs in front of the cathedral, as Fr. Moreau used to do it with his students.
