On Sunday October 13, we began at Our Lady of Holy Cross Parish/Shrine of Blessed Basile Moreau, in union with the Universal Church, the week of World Mission Sunday. This year’s theme, chosen by Pope Francis, is rooted in the Gospel of Matthew: “Go and Invite Everyone to the Banquet”. Father Paul-Elie Cadet, CSC, celebrated the Holy Mass at the Church at 10:30 am whereas at 11:30 am, Father Joseph Gonsalvez, CSC, celebrated at the Solitude of the Savior with the Marianites Sisters and a few outsiders. During Mass at the Shrine, the little kids shared on the Word of God with their catechists in the chapel and in the parish meeting room.
