On October 14, the Shrine of Blessed Basil Moreau was honored by the visit of His Eminence Cardinal Peter K.A. Turkson, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Promotion of Integral Human Development and Archbishop emeritus of Cape Coast (Ghana). Cardinal Turkson, who became acquainted with the Congregation of Holy Cross in his native Ghana, was invited to Le Mans by his Excellency Msgr. Yves Le Saux, bishop of Le Mans, to give a keynote address at the Essentiel’Mans conference. The conference theme was: “Believing: a new way of life.”
