The young religious of Holy Cross participating in the “final vows program” are in France for 15 days to walk in the footsteps of Blessed Basile Moreau, to discover more about their founder and the charism of the Congregation. They come from all over the world (Peru, Ghana, India, Bangladesh, Mexico, Brazil, France, United States, etc.) and are accommodated at La Solitude.
On Friday, July 4th, they were accompanied by Tiphaine Hamerel for a guided tour of the Holy Cross cemetery in the morning, then a guided tour of the Shrine of Blessed Basile Moreau in the afternoon, followed by mass around the tomb of Father Moreau, and finally a guided tour of the Saint-Julien cathedral.
The highlight of the day, according to Chris Mulholland, C.S.C., was attending mass in the Shrine, during which Father Moreau’s chalice was used. To see pictures, check our Facebook page.
